D'Artagnan is a young, impoverished man from the rural area of France called Gascony. He goes to Paris in hopes of becoming one of the king's musketeers. He has few assets and relies on his wit and charm to guide him. Despite his lack of juvenility, he still deeply believes in the idea of chivalry. It is that ideal that earns him the respect and friendship of his friends Athos, Porthos, and Aramis. D'Artagnan is also a very passionate man. He pursues both his enemies and love interests with reckless abandon. An example would be D'Artagnan's pursuit of his 'evil-guiness,'; Rochefort. Also, his passion is exhibited in his quest to aid the queen. Such deeds also prove D'Artagnan's bravery. And, it is D'Artagnan's bravery that earns him the trust of the queen and allows him to pursue his love interest, Madame Bonacieux. D'Artagnan's bravery also allows him to become a soldier, and later, a musketeer. It also gives D'Artagnan the courage to battle against the cardinal, despite his power. Thus, his bravery also gets him into trouble. D'Artagnan is constantly at battle against the cardinal and his agents. However, D'Artagnan is not alone in his battles. His friends support him throughout the book. And, D'Artagnan is equally allegiant to his friends. He supports his friends whenever the need arises. An example would be D'Artagnan's choice to fight with his friends in their first melee with Rochefort. D'Artagnan is indubitably loyal to his friends, as they are to him.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Loyalty is a prominent theme in the book. It is the very essence of the characters, 'All for one and one for all.'; The four friends are devoted to each other and prove it throughout the book. The friends all nobly stand by each other in their battle against the cardinal. On several occasions D'Artangnan calls upon his comrades to help him in his quests. D'Artangnan tells them nothing of the details simply that they are likely to perish on the journey. Yet, all the friends immediately and without query agree to assist D'Artangnan. Another example is D'Artangnan's extreme loyalty to the queen and his love Madame Bonacieux. D'Artagnan accepts several dangerous missions from the queen. He risks life and limb to help save the queen from scandal. And again endangers himself in an attempt to rescue his beloved Madame Bonacieux. It is D'Artagnan's loyalty that actually makes him a musketeer.

Too Much Pressure

Colleen Went states that cheating has been on the rise due to the fact that many teachers accept it. The teachers knew that these things went on, yet nobody seems to do anything about them. With so many people cheating, teachers have a hard time tracking down who cheated and who didn't. Teachers assign homework every day, and they have over a hundred students. With so much assignments pouring in to be graded, teachers usually have students peer edit the assignment or they Just glance at it.The student could have Just written down something foolish and the teacher wouldn't notice. On account of this, many teachers think cheating is fine. Because many teachers ignore cheating that is occurring right under their noses, so many students get away with It. The lenient consequences that are given to students for cheating, is another factor that is causing an increase in cheating. Penalties for getting caught cheating are mild. If someone was caught cheating, that assignment or test is usual ly confiscated, and you ere given a zero for that assignment.However, your parents were not called, and you were not suspended. Getting a zero on one assignment doesn't hurt that much and the cheater doesn't even learn a lesson. Due to the light consequences, students cheat even more in school. Colleen Went used exposition style of writing. Through exposition, she informs, explains, and clarifies her ideas and thoughts. Exposition goes beyond description to help the reader understand with greater clarity and depth the Ideas and thoughts.

Child abuse, in most cases, end in two different ways. The children are killed, mentally and physically, or the abuse is reported to the authorities. Approximately 5 children die every day because of child abuse. Although many people do not understand how many children are abused, there is a mass amount of content online about this topic and how it affects our society. Both videos are engaging and informative. However, although Video A has better text, Video B’s imagery and sound is more thought provoking, making Video B more effective. Video B has better imagery in comparison to Video A. The imagery showed not just sad children that are beaten, but also a story with clear and memorable scenes. For example, in Video B, it shows a brutal scene of a drunken father ramming his fist into his son’s face; the boy’s face became swollen and bruised. In opposition, Video A only shows a small girl curled into herself as the audience hears muffled shouting. In another scene from Video B, an angled shot of a boy destroying his red new bicycle out of frustration. Showing the viewer how a kid under an abusive home feels powerless. Video B shows how the brutal imagery can affect the viewer, but sound also links with the story is progressing in the video. The sound of a whistle as a kid kicks and smashes his bright red bike into the pavement, anger clear on his face. Or a father’s fist hitting flesh over and over again, the smacking sound echoing in the video.
